A Royal Morning!

Good afternoon everyone!!!  Jemma and I just got up from our little naps since we had such an early morning and what a morning it was!  I have been so excited about this wedding for quite some time but have really gotten the fever in the last few days, and I was not disappointed.  It was absolutely breathtaking and what a royal wedding should be!

I woke up at 5:15 and could hear Jemma reading books to herself in her room!  She was just as excited as I was!  We went down and got to see William and Harry arrive at the church.  She is actually in love with Harry!  Of course I had a special crown for her!  I had also created a banner from The Housewife Bootcamp printables to decorate the fireplace and entertainment center!  Jemma was pleased with it all!

As the royals entered, I began to whip up our chocolate chip scones and blueberry muffins.  The  muffins were to honor my mom.  She made them for me when we watched Princess Diana's and Prince Charles' wedding with my Grandma.  I still remember that morning with them and cherish it.  I hope Jemma remembers our special morning too!  The scone recipe came from Beth at Stories from A2Z, and they were absolutely fabulous!!!!  You can go here to see the recipe she got from A Beautiful Nest.

My princess rested her tiara while she watched the wedding and then she curled up with Daddy.  It was so fun to watch this special occasion with my two most favorite people!

WARNING... I DO NOT GET READY FOR ANYTHING AT 5:00.  THE PHOTOS BELOW MAY BE A LITTLE SCARY!!!  I am just keeping it real...  in a very scary way...

One of my best friends lives in London and I spoke with her at 1:30 in the morning here as they were waiting at the Mall to see the procession!  If we weren't going to Ireland next month, I guarantee you, we would have been right there with her!  She is the most thoughtful human being in the world and knows how much I love the royals.  She got me a commemorative stamp set, one of the programs you saw everyone holding and a London newspaper hot off the press!  I adore her and just wanted to say THANK YOU, SUZANNE!  YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!

The BHW had to go to work after we saw the Kiss and Jemma and I continued in our royal duties until one tired princess decided to sleep!

What an absolutely magical morning and I wish William and Catherine all the blessings and joy in the world.  It truly was a fairy tale!

Pet Photo

I have to quickly make a post!  I wanted to put sweet Murphy's photo in the i heart faces challenge this week.  I recently was playing around with my new 50 mm lens and got this lovely shot of my old girl!  I love the blurry depth of field as I was playing with a 1.8 aperture.  I didn't edit or anything, because I just wanted to show the beauty that is Murphy.  This picture just shows the sweet soul of my first baby, the four legger.  You can read her story here.  I love her!

Are You Serious?????

I just got an email from a "she she" store here in Charleston and this is what they are advertising...

$18.95?????  Seriously?????????  

I can go to Walmart and buy canning jars for a couple of bucks, to the Dollar Tree and buy a candlestick, and glue them together for less than $5!!!!!  Oh my word!!!!!  

Well, I guess it is special that they will personalize the lid for $3.95.  SERIOUSLY?????????  It is probably just stickers!!!!  

I think I am in the wrong business!  Ok... I really don't have a business, but still!!!

Awesome Workshop!

I just took an online workshop tonight with Amanda from Everyday Elements!  I am so excited!  I received Photoshop Elements about 2 months ago and have done very little with it as it made no sense to me!  I would watch tutorials, but they would go to fast or over my head.  Amanda was excellent and the best part was she gave us the best notes!  She also creates a video of the workshop so we can go back and watch it again.  I love how she gives us the opportunity to continue to view it!  That is how I learn best and just practicing!  Here is a quick edit I did right after class.  Let me know what you think!

We are back!

Hi everyone!  We just got back from our whirlwind trip through Tennessee!  We had such a great time and got to see grandparents and meet new cousins!  Here are a few pics from our trip!

i heart faces

I am entering Jemma's picture in the i heart faces picture challenge.  I had a hard time deciding to do Zoe's black and white or Jemma's, but I just keep going to Jemma's eyes in this shot!  This is a people's choice so if you feel like it, I would love your vote!  She is #158!  We are off to visit the grandparents this week so I will see you all next week!  Have a wonderful one!
